Methi Mushroom


Few of my friends requested me for some vegetarian dishes. Today I didn't have that much of vegetable at home, so what to cook. Finally I decided to cook Mushroom with some methi. And named the dish is Methi Mushrom. So let’s cook.

Prep time 20 mints.

Cooking Time 20 mints.

Serve for 4 people.


1.Mushroom : 300 gm. (cut into small pieces)
2.One medium chopped onion.
3.One small size chopped tomato.
4.Two clove chopped garlic.
5.One tea spoon ginger & garlic paste.
6.Half tea spoon fenugreek seeds. (Make a smooth powder with them).
7.A pinch of kasoori methi.
8.Few fennel seeds.
9.Turmeric powder, Cumin powder , Red chili powder (one tea spoon of each item).
10.Salt & Sugar as per taste.
11.Sunflower oil.


Put some oil In a Vessel, and fry the mushroom pieces on high heat. (Mushroom used to leave lots of water so avoid this). Keep it aside.

Now put some more oil and put the fennel seeds, after few seconds add the chopped garlic.

Now add the chopped onion and chopped tomato fry till the onions transparent. Next add the ginger garlic paste along with all the powder and some salt & sugar.

Add some kasoori methi when the oil separate from the spices.

Now add the fried mushroom and mix well and reduce the flame. Finally add the fenugreek seeds powder.

Serve hot with Rice or Paratha .
