Dal is a very common dish for us. Daal roti is a daily food for almost 90% of Indians. I just mixed three kind of dal together and made this Mixed dal fry. It's really delicious with Roti or Rice.
Ingredients:
1.Moong Dal :100 gm.
2.Musur Dal :100 gm.
3.Tarka Dal : 100 gm.
4.One medium size onion (chopped).
5.One small size tomato (chopped).
6.One inch ginger (chopped).
7.Three clove garlic (chopped).
8.Few cumin seeds & mustard seeds.
9.Two dry red chili.
10.Turmaric Powder, Cumin Powder.(one tea spoon each).
11.One small bunch of chopped coriander leaves.
12.Few drop of ghee.
13.Sunflower oil.
14 Salt & sugar as per taste.
Process:
Boiled the three type of dal together in a cooker. (Three weasels).
Now put some oil in a heavy bottomed vessel, and add the Cumin seeds, Mustard seeds & dry red chili.
When it starts popping add the chopped garlic and ginger. Fry for few seconds and add the chopped onion and tomato. Fry till onions transparent.
Now add turmeric & cumin powder. Cook till the raw smell goes off; now add the boiled dal with one cup of water. Cover with lid and cook till the dal become little thick.
Finally add the chopped coriander and few drop of ghee. Serve hot with roti or rice.
